Job Ref: 48

Permanent

Location: Munich, Germany

Sector: BESS & Energy Infrastructure

Employment: Permanent

Are you a senior project-finance professional with a strong record of structuring and closing complex infrastructure financings? Do you want to apply your financing expertise within the renewable sector?

We are looking for experienced finance professionals for current and upcoming Senior Project Finance opportunities across Germany’s energy-infrastructure market.

The Market Opportunity

Our partner is a German developer and operator of large-scale battery storage systems that help stabilise power grids and integrate renewable energy.

Battery Energy Storage Systems are becoming increasingly important to the German energy transition, creating demand for finance professionals who can structure bankable projects and manage complex lender processes.

These positions offer broad ownership across debt structuring, financial modelling, negotiations and financial close, with direct exposure to lenders, advisers and senior decision-makers.

Typical Scope

· Structure and execute non-recourse project-financing solutions for BESS and wider energy-infrastructure assets.

· Develop and challenge financial models covering cash flow, debt sizing, sensitivities and financing scenarios.

· Lead lender engagement and support negotiations with banks, debt providers and external advisers.

· Coordinate financial, legal, technical, tax and insurance due diligence workstreams.

· Review and negotiate credit, security and financing documentation.

· Manage financing processes through to financial close.

· Support contract reporting, lender obligations and financing requirements following close.

· Provide clear financial analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

About You

· 5-10 years of relevant experience in project finance, structured finance, infrastructure finance, lending or financial advisory and a degree in economics or a relevant field.

· A demonstrable record of completed non-recourse or complex infrastructure financings.

· Strong financial-modelling, debt-structuring and commercial-analysis capability.

· Experience working directly with lenders, advisers and financing counterparties.

· Confident negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.

· Professional fluency in German and English.

· BESS, renewable-energy or energy-infrastructure financing experience would be beneficial.

This is an opportunity to take a leading role in financing critical energy-storage infrastructure, combining technical financial work with direct responsibility for transaction execution.

For professionals looking to deepen their renewable energy-infrastructure experience, these roles provide exposure to complex debt structures, lender relationships and high-value project decisions.

If you have the project-finance expertise, lender-management experience and track record of delivering complex non-recourse financings, apply with your CV or contact Taran Gill directly at taran.gill@hunterphilips.com for a confidential discussion around current and upcoming opportunities.
