What drives your passion for people development in the executive search industry?
I’ve always been fascinated by what helps people perform at their best — not just in terms of skills, but confidence, mindset, and purpose. In executive search, the stakes are high and the pace is fast, so helping our consultants grow and find fulfilment in what they do makes a real difference. I love seeing those “lightbulb moments” when someone connects the dots and realises what they’re capable of. Knowing that our work ultimately helps build leadership teams driving the renewable energy transition makes it even more rewarding.
How does learning and development contribute to success in a high-performance search firm?
At Hunter Philips continuous learning isn’t optional — it’s the edge that keeps us relevant and credible with clients who are driving innovation in renewables. My role is to make development practical and embedded in daily performance — whether through leadership coaching, structured training, or creating a culture where curiosity and accountability thrive. When our people excel at what they do, both our business and our clients’ businesses are able to as well.
What’s one thing you love most about working in the renewable energy sector?
It’s incredibly motivating to work in a sector that’s not just commercially exciting but also purposeful. Every leader we help place contributes to global progress toward sustainability — and knowing that our internal development work supports that bigger mission makes it especially meaningful.
