400kV Senior Authorised Person – 12 Month Contract – Outside IR35 – Offshore Wind

ASAP Start - Hybrid Role – Scotland - Monday–Friday


I’m currently looking for a 400kV Senior Authorised Person to support an offshore wind project, with responsibility for mentoring and developing SAPs, outage planning, and ensuring SFTS at all times. This role sits within the onshore substation package, covering all associated SAP duties.


Requirements

  • Previously authorised as a 400kV Senior Authorised Person
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety within transmission and offshore wind environments
  • Experience and knowledge of WTGs, ONS and OSS
  • Full GWO certification
  • DNO or National Grid experience desirable but not essential
  • Experience working on wind farm construction projects

Responsibilities

  • Oversee offshore transmission infrastructure, including the OFTO National Grid tie-in from ONS to OSS, ensuring safe and reliable operation of offshore platforms
  • Work closely with onshore Project Managers, acting as the main point of contact for offshore operations
  • Carry out monthly inspections, routine maintenance, and raise defect notifications on equipment
  • Take part in a 24/7 on-call rota, acting as the first responder to alarms and defects
  • Investigate site issues and implement corrective actions where required
  • Plan and manage onshore and offshore outages, ensuring safe execution at all times
  • Deliver outage planning, engaging with contractors, suppliers and OEMs
  • Lead defect resolution and snagging with OEM suppliers
  • Manage and resolve faults across offshore assets, ensuring effective escalation and follow-up
  • Monitor and support Senior Authorised Persons
  • Provide training, mentoring and oversight to EMTs and junior SAPs
  • Drive knowledge transfer from experienced 400kV SAPs, supporting competence and succession planning
  • Act as a hub lead, coordinating workstreams, team activities and training delivery

Assistant Site Manager - Solar PV - Solar Farm - Construction - UK - ContractJob Overview:A renewable energy EPC is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the on-site delivery of utility-scale Solar PV project.
