Technical Project Engineer - Onshore Wind & Pre-Construction (m/f/d)

Location: Hamburg (Hybrid)


An established renewable energy business is looking for a Technical Project Engineer (m/f/d) to support the engineering design, planning, and pre-construction delivery of utility-scale onshore wind projects across Germany (additional exposure to solar PV and battery storage systems).


The role and responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering design, layout optimization, and civil/electrical concept development for onshore wind projects.
  • Manage the technical preparation phase, including site suitability analyses, risk assessments, and grid connection optimization.
  • Draft technical specifications, evaluate EPC/major component bids, and support contractor selection.
  • Prepare preliminary drawings, technical documentation, cost estimations, and project schedules.
  • Act as the technical liaison for cross-functional internal teams, external engineering consultants, and project developers.
  • Conduct site visits, attend technical workshops, and participate in stakeholder meetings.


The ideal person will have:

  • Degree in Engineering (open), or a related technical discipline.
  • 5 years of experience within renewable energy.
  • Strong experience coordinating technical stakeholders, external expert studies, and internal engineering activities.
  • Knowledge of EPC tendering processes, project design planning, and technical specifications.
  • Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken).

400kV Protection Commissioning Engineer – Immingham – Contract – Outside IR35 - 3 month initial contract I am currently recruiting for an experienced 400kV Protection Commissioning Engineer to support a major power generation project in Immingham.This is a hands on commissioning role focused on protection systems testing, fault finding and final stage commissioning activities.
