Lead SCADA Expert - BESS – Germany - Munich

The Person

  • Drive the standardisation of SCADA architecture across a growing project pipeline
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of SCADA and EMS systems for utility-scale BESS projects connected to the 380kV grid
  • Develop and implement metering concepts aligned with TSO requirements and commercial objectives
  • Create and review technical specifications for SCADA, EMS, and metering systems
  • Act as the technical interface to TSOs, coordinating data points, communication protocols, and protection schemes
  • Manage interfaces with EPC contractors, BMS suppliers, and IT/OT teams
  • Support FAT/SAT processes and commissioning activities

 

Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in developing or operating SCADA systems within the energy sector
  • Strong knowledge of communication protocols (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus, DNP3)
  • Solid understanding of TSO requirements and grid codes (e.g. TAR, VDE-AR-N 4130, KritisV)
  • Experience with metering systems and MID-compliant measurement is a plus
  • Structured, analytical approach with a high level of ownership
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel within Germany

400kV Protection Commissioning Engineer – Immingham – Contract – Outside IR35 - 3 month initial contract I am currently recruiting for an experienced 400kV Protection Commissioning Engineer to support a major power generation project in Immingham.This is a hands on commissioning role focused on protection systems testing, fault finding and final stage commissioning activities.
